Whoever said that life would be a lite beer commercial, 24/7/365, was full of more crap than a West Texas stockyard. In addition, if you came to Christ to have a carefree, no-conflict existence, then you my friend are nuttier than a squirrel turd. Real life and true Christianity does not extricate one from chaos, spiritual warfare and just common everyday bunkum. Matter of fact, closing in with Christ actually guarantees you’re going to have more hell on earth than the godless clods experience, because you my friend represent Satan’s demise and he’s not thrilled about that. Therefore, buckle up, buttercup. It’s going to get rougher than grandma’s breath before it gets better. One of the ways Satan tries to crush or sully the saints is via the satanic slinging of what is known in the Latin as, stercore tauri. Or what we call it down here in Texas ... bullcrap. If Satan’s anything, he’s a smack talker and he wields his poisonous tongue quite often against God’s elect. Satan and the idiots he utilizes, which extends to daft Christians as well, use lies, hype and spin to discourage and thereby neutralize the Christians effectiveness. Never fear, however. Psalm 5:1-12 is here! Yes, child of God, if you have demons and dolts spewing their poison gas about you, setting spiritual IEDs in your path, whose throat is a veritable open grave of garbage, then launch Psalm 5:1-12 in their direction and watch what God does to them. In addition, this is a great prayer to pray against those who persecute the people of God from their governmental posi- tions. Enjoy and share it with those who’re being lied about. Now commence to crushing demons ... Psalm 5:1-12
1 O Lord, hear me as I pray;
pay attention to my groaning.
2 Listen to my cry for help, my King and my God,
for I pray to no one but you.
3 Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord.
Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.
4 O God, you take no pleasure in wickedness;
you cannot tolerate the sins of the wicked.
5 Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence,
for you hate all who do evil.
6 You will destroy those who tell lies.
The Lord detests murderers and deceivers.
7 Because of your unfailing love, I can enter your house;
I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe.
8 Lead me in the right path, O Lord,
or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow.
9 My enemies cannot speak a truthful word.
Their deepest desire is to destroy others. Their talk is foul, like the stench from an open grave. Their tongues are filled with flattery.
10 O God, declare them guilty.
Let them be caught in their own traps. Drive them away because of their many sins, for they have rebelled against you.
11 But let all who take refuge in you rejoice;
let them sing joyful praises forever. Spread your protection over them, that all who love your name may be filled with joy.
12 For you bless the godly, O Lord;
you surround them with your shield of love. |

The Weapon Most Christians Ignore 3 MIN READ ◦ DOUG GILES “The devil is nimble; he can run apace; he is light of foot; he hath overtaken many....They that would have heaven must run for it." - John Bunyan Paul ends the armor passage like this: “With all prayer and petition, pray at all times in the Spirit…” (Eph. 6:18a) Notice something. He lays out all the armor— then finishes with prayer. Not as an add-on. Not as a side note. As the thing that activates everything else. Because without...
The Scripture's A Deadly Dagger To Demons 3 MIN READ ◦ DOUG GILES “The trumpet still plays the notes of war. You cannot sit down and put the victory wreath on your head. You do not have a crown. You still must wear the helmet and carry the sword. You must watch, pray, and fight. Expect your last battle to be the most difficult, for the enemy’s fiercest charge is reserved for the end of the day.” - Charles Spurgeon Paul says: “and take … the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.”...
Your Mind Is A Battlefield. Protect It! 3 MIN READ ◦ DOUG GILES "The world is a den of murderers, subject to the devil. If we desire to live on earth, we must be content to be guests in it, and to lie in an inn where the host is a rascal, whose house has over the door this sign or shield, 'For murder and lies.'" - Martin Luther Paul says: “Take the helmet of salvation…” - Eph. 6:17a Now the focus shifts. From external protection— to internal control. Because if the enemy can get into your...
